With shipping delays and contained shortages creating havoc for international shippers, Home Depot, one of the largest importers in the U.S., has taken matters into its own hands by chartering its own vessel.
According to Ted Decker, president and COO, “We have a ship that’s solely going to be ours and it’s just going to go back and forth, 100 percent dedicated to Home Depot.”
Decker said the ship will begin to run for the company in July.
